Lisa Brousseau, MSW, RSW
Social Worker/Psychotherapist
Hello! My name is Lisa Brousseau and I have been providing counselling and psychotherapy services as a registered social worker, specializing in mental health and addiction over the last 12 years.
I know reaching out for support whether it be your first time, or one of many can be daunting, and that the vulnerability required to share and work together can only happen if there is a trust and freedom to express yourself, without judgment. I believe that you are bringing a wealth of experience and resilience to the therapy relationship and my approach is very open-minded, empathetic, collaborative, and most importantly, non-judgmental.
I work with adults of all ages who may be struggling with childhood emotional abuse, trauma, and complex-PTSD, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, OCD and ADHD. Often a person may come to therapy not really understanding why they feel something is wrong. Part of my role is to help you connect the dots so you can stop the patterns that are causing you pain and distress and create real change to stop these patterns. Together, we will decide upon the best ways to approach your concerns using a variety of evidence-based models such as cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, attachment, emotional regulation, mindfulness, and self-compassion.
