Dr. Daniela Gonzalez, Ph.D., C.Psych.

Dr. Gonzalez is a registered psychologist with specialized training in clinical psychology and neuropsychology licensed to practice in Alberta and Ontario. She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology, from the University of Windsor. She later completed a residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at Baycrest Health Sciences and a post-doctoral fellowship at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. She has experience working with a variety of neurological, medical, and mental health conditions in numerous hospital-based settings (i.e., neurology, geriatrics, psychiatry, and rehabilitation departments).

In private practice, Dr. Gonzalez specializes in neuropsychological assessment with a focus on describing cognitive functioning and patterns of strengths and weaknesses. A neuropsychological assessment may be warranted for those with concerns about their thinking skills, and the results help diagnose or assess the impact of neurological conditions (i.e., brain injury, stroke, dementia, or ADHD). Dr. Gonzalez also provides assessment services specializing in the evaluation and diagnosis of mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders, as well as neurodevelopmental disorders, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She works with adults and older adults.

Dr. Gonzalez’s assessment practices are evidence-based and incorporate a holistic view of wellness. Dr. Gonzalez strives to practice cultural humility and is especially mindful of how diversity factors, such as culture, language, and gender identity, can play a role in her clients’ psychological functioning.
